Writing: WALT share our voice
The group that have been focusing on sharing their personal voice and feelings in writing have been doing a wonderful job in writing descriptive paragraphs that paint a picture for the audience and make you feel like you are there.

A Creepy Night (By Madeline)
It was pitch black. There was only one noise: footsteps. I checked to see if my family was asleep, and they all were fast asleep. The footsteps were getting louder. I hid underneath my covers, with my body shaking and teeth clattering. My heart was pounding like mad. I heard the door open and I screamed!
First Day at School (by Brenna)
'It's okay, you can do it!' I kept on telling myself that but it wasn't working. My heart was thumping so loud I was scared that someone else would hear it, and my palms were sweating as I walked forward. Then I took a step back. Maybe I shouldn't go in? But I knew I had to. The cold wind blew on my face as I suddenly tripped on a stone and got mud all over me... but still I walked forward.
First Day at School (by Emma D)
This was it. I was so excited. I jumped in the car. When we got there, fear started bubbling up. My tummy had butterflies. Mysisters ran happily to their classes. Mum walked me in. I was squeezing Mum's hand. I was shivering because I was so scared. The teacher tried to pull me away. I started crying. The teacher grabbed hold of me and pulled me away from mum and mum quickly left. The teacher introduced me to everyone. I started playing with the doll house and the blocks with Jack and Brianna.
Mum came at the end of the day and I didn't want to leave!
New Holiday Destination (by Ava B)
As the car pulled up to the car park, I was so excited that we were finally there but I was also very tired... it had been a long trip. It was in a nice small cabin in Taupo. It was so cosy and snug. Right next to it was a beautiful view of a massive playground and, as we drove in, we could see the biggest water park in Taupo.
Successful Prove It!
